First Aid Training Courses 

Emergency First Aid at Work (one day)

We offer the new HSE approved Emergency First Aid at Work course aimed at nominated emergency first aiders, or anyone requiring a comprehensive one day first aid course.  The course is run over one day and includes both theory and practical sessions, continually assessed by the trainer.  On completion of the course delegates should feel confident to assume the role of Emergency First Aider at work.  The Emergency First Aid at Work course replaced the First Aid Appointed Person course in October 2009.  Delegates who complete the course will be awarded a certificate which is valid for three years.

  • The priorities of first aid
  • Treatment of an unconscious casualty
  • Unconsciousness
  • Resuscitation
  • Shock
  • Bleeding
  • Common workplace injuries

A full Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved First Aid at Work course, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

Once qualified, holders of this First Aid at Work certificate can be used as First Aiders in the workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.   The First Aid at Work course is run over three days and includes both theory and practical sessions.
