Chris from GH Safety (Ltd) was appointed to assist the Principal Designer undertake their duties under CDM 2015 at the design stage, before creating a platform from which the Client could comfortably undertake the role of the Principal Contractor. From day 1 the Client’s Managing Director, Damian Cavanagh, successfully implemented a robust health and safety system on the Site to fulfill the responsibilities of Principal Contractor under CDM 2015 with the support and advice of GH Safety. 

Poor planning resulting in wasted time; Potential employment of sub-contractors with poor health and safety records; Major injury, fatality or damage due to potential non-compliance of health and safety regulations; Prosecution in the event of a breach of health and safety;

GH Safety provided a robust support mechanism to assist with project set up, implementation and ongoing support as and when required. Chris assisted each party to ensure that their obligations were met and provided a cost-effective way to manage a Construction Project for a Company with no internal Health and Safety Competence.

Friendly, knowledgeable and approachable person to offer guidance, reassurance and recommendations based on day to day issues raised by the project. A HSE Inspector visited the site during the Construction Phase and gave the site a clean bill of health which is a credit to everyone involved.
